Attendance Policy
Practices- Attend as many practices as you can if you plan on competing in tournaments. In order to compete in weekend tournaments, you must attend at least 50% of the workouts leading up to that tournament. If you are a new member to the club you must attend two practices to be eligible to attend a tournament, unless special consideration by the Board.
Tournaments- Tournaments must be attended in full, there is no partial attendance. You need to be able to commit to all the days/games.
Dues and Fees
All club dues and fees must be paid, or have a payment plan set up with the Treasurer, prior to practice or tournaments via Venmo. Exact cash to a board member will also be accepted.
Specific deadlines will be given for each tournament. If drop outs happen after such deadlines, players will still be responsible for paying for the registration fees and could potentially be disqualified from future tournaments.
Collection of merchandise payments will occur on delivery. Members must pay for any merchandise they order. Once orders are placed, there is no cancelling the order.

Team Rules...
- Be on time: Arrive at the pool 10 minutes before practice so that we are able to get in on time.
- Please assist with pool set up and cleanup of equipment. Everyone needs to help.
- Be respectful of all facilities used by the club, whether for training or competition.
- You must contact your captain or someone else from the Board ASAP if you will be absent from or late to a mandatory practice or any games and tournaments.
- Athletes shall respect and show courtesy to their teammates, board members and coaches at all times. If a player has a problem with a coach or captain, it is their responsibility to communicate the problem with that coach or captain. If the problem escalates or can’t be resolved in this manner, the player is to take the issue up with the president of the club or another member of the board, who will help to resolve any issues.
- Be respectful of your teammate’s feelings and personal space. Athletes who exhibit sexist, racist or inappropriate behavior towards another person will be excused from practice or tournaments and will be subject to a disciplinary process as determined by the club board depending on the severity of the infraction. Any club board member at any time has authority to ask a player to exit the pool/tournament for disciplinary reasons.
- Players are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at practice and tournaments (on and off the pool deck at tournaments as well.)
- Athletes that commit to a tournament are expected to stay for the entire tournament. If a player leaves before the completion this can result in disciplinary action.
- Athletes shall not ever confront an official meet about a call or exclusion. This is the coach’s responsibility.
- Athletes should refrain from posting complaints or offensive remarks about the club or in regards to the club on any social media sites.
- USA Water Polo is an organization of volunteers and paid professional officials. Tournaments are operated by volunteers. Please treat volunteers and water polo tournament officials with respect.
- Players found guilty of misconduct, including the use of unacceptable language, aggressive or persistent foul play, showing disrespect for a referee or official, or committing an act of brutality (including to play in a violent manner, kicking, striking or attempting to kick or strike with malicious intent) against an opponent or official, whether during practice, official game or scrimmage will be subject to disciplinary action from the board.
- Darkside is a program meant for athletes with experience in the sport of water polo. While levels may vary on the team, the board may determine if a player does not meet the appropriate standard of play.
